Let's Talk about Cornwall Survey

We have launched a new survey to ask people in Cornwall for their views and opinions and would welcome your help to promote it to your local community.

The survey invites feedback on the impact of the increase in the cost of living, satisfaction with the local area as a place to live and on the Council services and activities that residents want us to focus on.

• The increase in the cost of living over the last few years has had a big impact on many people’s lives. The survey will provide us with better insights into the scale of those impacts on families in Cornwall. It will also help us to better understand impacts on the local economy and the local communities and to lobby Government for practical measures to address key issues.
• We are committed to make real and visible progress for people across Cornwall by working more closely with local communities to tackle local priorities. This survey will provide valuable insight in people’s local priorities and their sense of individual and collective belonging and community resilience.
• Cornwall Council is facing significant financial pressures and difficult choices about how services are delivered. The results of this survey will help inform our budget proposals and make sure we are focusing our resources on the things residents value most.

Where possible we have used questions that enable us to compare data, ie against data captured through our residents’ survey in previous years or against data captured through national surveys and polls – mindful that a number of these questions also feature in the Government’s Local Outcomes Framework.

We will share the results of the survey widely so the insights can also help inform the actions of other organisations in Cornwall.

The survey is available online on https://letstalk.cornwall.gov.uk/cornwall with paper copies available for people who cannot access it online.

The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and is open until Sunday 1 November.
